Pincushion Pillow & Wrap

Any cotton fabric, prefered white or solid colors filling, i.e. leftovers of batting or rice to make it heavy |

3 1/2" x 2 1/2" | 4 1/2" x 3" | |
Sew the 2 long sides of the 2 rectangles together with 1/4", leaving an opening in the middle for turning. Press the seam open. Lay this rectangle, right sides facing, onto the other one and sew around all 4 sides with a 1/4" seam allowance. Clip the corners and turn through the opening. Stuff the pillow and close with a few handstitches. You are done! |

3 squares 3 1/2" 2 strips 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" Backing 3 1/2" x 11" Batting 3 1/2" x 11" |

Sew a strip on both sides of a square, then the remaining squares to the strips. Press seams into the strips. Baste together with backing and batting. Quilt as desired. |

Shorten the wrap on both small sides about 1/4" to a length of 7"(or 1/2" to a length of 10"). Hem the raw edge with a zig zag stitch and cover with lace, rick-rack or ribbons. Sew the small sides together to form a loop. Press seam open. |

Of course you can embellish the top square as much as you want. | ||

Design the rectangle as you want, add backing and batting, quilt as desired. Then hem the edges, cover the raw edges with lace, rick-rack or ribbons, close the rectangle to a loop. |
