My Favorite Quilt

Gallery

This quilt was designed 1999 in EQ and finished in October 2003. I used for the first time thangles to make the triangles. It's special to me cause it's the very first quilt I designed AND sewed for a special little girl.

DANCING BEAR

This is my favourite quilt at the moment. The colours  remind me of a wonderful vacation that we spent in New Mexico. I called it the Grand canyon quilt because we spent the night at the grand canyon and then watched dawn rise over the rim - it was magical.

GRAND CANYON

Carpe diem is written on the boat the girls are in. I was happy to have the quilt accepted in a quiltshow although it didn't win a prize. I was not counting on that either.

CARPE DIEM

This is my favorite quilt. It was made for my mother's 60th birthday. It was the first Lone Star I had ever made, and was surrounded by my favorite block, Log Cabin. All in her favorite colors and hand quilted with cream and blue threads.

I give you the photo of  my favorite quilt for our Gallery. It's the blue and white quilt with boats that I made 9 years ago for my son Maurizio. I love it as it was the first big quilt I made. It has been used a lot and still is. Now  the colors are no more so brilliant but it is still such a nice quilt!

MAURIZIO'S QUILT

This is my favourite quilt. It´s made of linen, bought at auctions at the place where we have our summer house, through the years. I have batik dyed the linen, some pieces are printed too.

MOOSE QUILT

This is my favorite  quilt, because it is made from old clothes wich we found in boxes and bags on the attic in my parents house after they died. I took it all with me and used pieces from all kinds of clothes: aprons, pyama’s,blouses, dresses, skirts, ect. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. 183x132 cm. I made this quilt from ’95 until ’05.

I wrote a poem on the back of the quilt.
